Salinas Olimpicos starter Miguel Amaya worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Arroyo Conmutadores, 5-1. Amaya, now 4-2, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. The Olimpicos saw their win-loss record go to 21-27. At the same time, the Conmutadores fell to 28-20.

The Olimpicos got an important contribution from designated hitter León Garza, who in the bottom of the second knocked a 1-0 knuckle curve to left for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Olimpicos ahead, 4-0.

"If you can control the count and control the hitter, you're going to have the upper hand," said Amaya.
