Things keep getting worse for Sabana Grande.
Ramón Trejo was a vital contributor to the 10-0 Hormigueros victory over Sabana Grande. The Companeros shortstop went 4-6 with 4 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Quinlan Crawford got the win, improving to 8-3. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 4 hits and no runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1.
With two out in the bottom of the second, Pío Díaz put Hormigueros in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Companeros went on to win the ballgame.
Sabana Grande manager Dave Nielsen ranted after the game: "Irritation is there. Embarrassment is there, as well. It's not good the way we're approaching the game, the way our at-bats are going, the pitching, everything, it's just not good."
The misery continues for the Tramantes, who have now dropped 10 in a row.
