Pleneros Win with Late Heroics
There was never a dull moment in an extra-length game between the Loiza Pleneros and the Carolina Belicosos.

The Loiza Pleneros banked on Balbino Menjívar and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Carolina hitters in check. The final score was 1-0, Pleneros, in 20 innings. Loiza reliever Ignacio Mejía was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Marcos González took the loss.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 20th for Loiza. That's when Raúl Carmona hit a run-scoring double off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Alex Westwood to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"This house was rockin'," Carmona said.

The last-place Belicosos dropped to 15-38.
