Walk-Off Win Makes Catano 33-22
|
The Catano Canoneros electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.
Catano pitcher Robert Donaldson did his part in helping his team defeat the Guaynabo Cazadores, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Donaldson yielded 1 run over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-5.
Catano got a clutch hit from Larry Doyle. The pinch hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.
"When I throw strikes I'm good, if I don't I'm not very good," said Donaldson. "So I just have to throw strikes."
The Cazadores, at 23-32, have lost 4 straight games.
