The Catano Canoneros picked up a win at Parquecito de Cataño, taking down the Florida Estribaciones, 10-3. Starting pitcher Heriberto Robles was a big reason why. Robles yielded 3 runs over 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 9. His record improves to 6-3. Catano, at 31-25, occupies 4th place in the Liga Mariana Bracetti División Arturo Schomburg.

The Estribaciones had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Canoneros going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 16-year old second baseman Jorge Robles came to the plate. Robles hit a run-scoring triple on a 1-1 changeup from Florida hurler Eduardo Rodríguez. It was Robles's 1st triple of the year.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Robles told the Catano Chronicle.
