The Vega Baja Dulzones picked up a win at Parquecito de Vega Baja, dropping the Arecibo Cachorros, 5-3. Joseph Scott, who is tied for 6th in the LMB in quality starts with 11, was the difference-maker. In 7.2 innings, Scott surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The victory gives Vega Baja a record of 32-26.
In the bottom of the fifth, Vega Baja third baseman Emeterio Guzmán whacked a fastball to right-center for a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Dulzones in front, 5-3.
