Erie Rallies to 10-8 Win
The Erie Commodores faced a tough opponent in Mentor pitcher Marco Martínez, but still scratched out a win at The Rosebush by a final score of 10-8 in 17 innings. Martínez went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The Commodores go to 32-39, putting them 4th in the Eastern Great Lakes Association League of Lake Erie.

Erie used the timely hitting of Darío Valdivia to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 17th inning to put the Commodores on top, 10-8. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame comments, Valdivia said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
