The Utica Half Moons had to overcome a big game from Syracuse left fielder Ginés Aguilar to leave Salt City Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 10-7. Aguilar was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times. The win was credited to Lisco Estrada in relief. His record improves to 4-1. F. Scott took the loss. The victory gives Utica a record of 44-27.

Utica used a timely hit from 22-year old first baseman Myles Norton to get the win. The pinch hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Half Moons on top, 9-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was huge.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Norton. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
