The home team gave the crowd some walk-off drama.

Enrique Ocampo, who is tied for 4th in the WGLA in complete games with 17, was sensational in shutting out the Alpena Partridges, 1-0. Ocampo, now 10-11, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing no runs.

The Stone Skippers procured the win, in large part because of pinch hitter Pío González. In the bottom of the ninth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"The crowd was boisterous today," said González.

The victory gives Mackinac Island a record of 45-36.
