Joes 5-4 Winners Over Mackinac Island

Getting offensive support from Tristán Lemus, the Saginaw Joes topped the Mackinac Island Stone Skippers, 5-4. Lemus was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Joes. Saginaw pitcher Pedro Olave got the win. He's now 8-11. Ramón Durán was tagged with the loss. At 52-31, Saginaw is in first place in the Western Great Lakes Association League of Lake Huron.
Had Lemus not come through in the top of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Lemus hit a run-scoring double. The Joes took the lead, 4-3, and never looked back.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Saginaw manager Miguel Chagoya. "It's usually not just one thing."
