Sault St. Marie Gets 13-Inning, 8-6 Win
The Sault St. Marie Rapids withstood a fine game by Superior catcher Antonio Padilla at Rapids Park, But Better, to upend the Whalebacks, 8-6. Padilla was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. Sault St. Marie pitcher Arnulfo Vázquez got the win. He's now 6-5. Juan Rivera was tagged with the loss. The defeat makes Superior 38-50.

Sault St. Marie got a knockout punch from Roberto Santos. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Santos said.
