Escanaba right-hander Ron Barker shut out the Holland Tulips, 1-0. Escanaba, at 58-56, sits in third place in the Western Great Lakes Association League of Lake Michigan.

Barker was sensational for Escanaba. The right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the WGLA in quality starts with 20, went the distance, shutting out the Tulips on 6 hits.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Wanderers manager Steven Hopper.
