Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Rapids
Behind a fine performance from León Garza, the Sault St. Marie Rapids knocked off the Marquette Smelters in 11 innings, 6-4. Garza slugged 2 home runs for the Rapids. Sault St. Marie pitcher Fernando Ramírez got the win. He's now 9-3. Absalón Músquez was tagged with the loss. Sault St. Marie bumps their record to 42-51 with the win.

Cleto Zambrano came through with a big-time hit for Sault St. Marie. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"There's a lot in this game you can't control. Just take what the game gives you. I was just doing my best to help the team win," Zambrano told the Sault St. Marie Herald.
