Compton Leads Joes to 13-5 Win Over Sugar Beets
Richard Compton knocked in 3 runs to help Saginaw beat Bay City, 13-5. The first baseman collected 2 singles, 1 double, and 1 home run. With the win over Bay City, the Joes improved to 66-28.

Esteban Navarro had a big grand slam home run for the Joes in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Saginaw leading 6-5 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Pablo Torres, who is tied for 5th in the WGLA in saves with 11, and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 18th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Joes ahead, 10-5.

"We lit up the scoreboard," said Saginaw manager Miguel Chagoya.
