The Norwalk Maples picked up a win at The Rosebush, taking down the Mentor Rose Stockings, 6-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Norwalk was left-hander Diodoro Uncal. He played a central role in the triumph. The Maples saw their win-loss record go to 50-49. At the same time, the Rose Stockings fell to 64-35.

This game was not decided until Daniel Cruz came to bat in the top of the tenth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, the Norwalk center fielder hit a sacrifice fly. The Maples took the lead, 4-3.

In postgame remarks, Cruz said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
