The Syracuse Halites picked up a win at Water Cure Park, dropping the Oswego Hydropathists, 4-2. Roger Los was the difference-maker. Los yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 12 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-10. The third-place Halites now have a record of 50-52.

The outcome might have been different for Syracuse, had it not been for Bill Shore, the 20-year old third baseman . Shore stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put Syracuse up, 4-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
