Wanderers Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
The Escanaba Wanderers had to weather a strong performance from Holland pitcher Jerónimo Rosas before claiming a 3-2 win in 11 innings. Rosas went 8.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Escanaba pitcher Martín González got the win. He's now 2-1. Juan Hincapié was tagged with the loss. Escanaba bumps their record to 52-50 with the win.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 11th, Marcos Pérez wanted to seize the moment and deliver a clutch hit. Holland pitcher Juan Hincapié had other ideas. He wanted to end the Escanaba rally. What happened next? With two outs, Pérez hit a run-scoring single -- and the Wanderers erupted in celebration.

During his postgame press conference, Wanderers manager Steven Hopper told reporters that he expected a tight game from the get-go. "This had the potential to go down to the wire, and it certainly didn't disappoint," he said, later quipping, "it might've been a little less nerve-racking if I had been watching the game from my couch!"
