The Grand Marais Voyageurs got a rain-soaked win over the Sault St. Marie Rapids.

Grand Marais picked up a win at Rapids Park, But Better, bumping off the Sault St. Marie Rapids, 4-2. Pitcher Aluino de Varona was a major reason the Voyageurs emerged victorious. The Voyageurs sit in third place in the Western Great Lakes Association League of Lake Superior with a record of 51-56.

It could have been a different outcome for Grand Marais, had it not been for Keith Burke, the 21-year old right fielder . Burke contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Grand Marais up, 3-2.

Burke attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."
