Regulars Squelch Roughnecks Offense in Shutout Win
|
The London Regulars got a magnificent effort from pitcher Matt Patterson, who kept Sarnia hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Regulars win at St. Cloud Grounds. The Regulars have now won 5 straight.
Rolando Contreras came through for London when he hit a run-scoring single in the top of the second. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a two-strike fastball to center field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Patterson. "Successful pitchers do it."
