Holland Makes It 6 Straight with 5-4 Win
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Holland Tulips and Gary Blast Furnaces.

The Holland Tulips picked up a win at Sunlit Garden, downing the Gary Blast Furnaces, 5-4. On the mound for Holland was right-hander Federico Mireles, who played a pivotal role in the win. The 'W' lifts Holland's record to 47-58.

In the bottom of the 8th, left fielder Miguel Ángel Chavarría gave Holland the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Tulips had been trailing 4-3, but the two-out single off Gary pitcher Nicolás Casas changed that -- and Holland went on to win.

"Federico was throwing with conviction," said Holland manager Pedro Ortiz.
