Senators Rally Late to Nip Giants
Washington second baseman Kip Selbach played a vital role in his team's 6-5 conquest of New York. He went 3 for 3 with 2 triples and a walk, while scoring 3 times for Washington. The Senators raised their record to 37-42.

Had Ollie Pickering not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Pickering hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Senators.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Selbach.
