Starting pitcher Tim Mitchell was a major factor in the 4-1 Pittsburgh Pirates triumph over the New York Giants. Mitchell picked up the win for Pittsburgh, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 11-3. Andy Coakley earned the save for Pittsburgh, his 10th.
