Senators Slap 6-4 Loss on Phillies
Washington right-hander Joe Corbett pitched his team to victory over the Philadelphia Phillies at National League Park 1895-1909. The final score was 6-4. The Senators, at 39-45, sit in 4th place in the Eastern League.

An inflection point occurred with two out in the top of the seventh. That's when Senators pinch hitter Ed Hahn hit a fastball from Bob Black for a 2-run single. Just like that, Washington was up, 5-4.

"Joe mixed and matched," said Washington manager Pony Sager.
