Senators Get Dramatic 3-2 Triumph
Starting pitcher Larry McKeon gave the Washington Senators a rock-solid performance, helping them defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 3-2, in 12 innings. Their 40-47 record puts the Senators 4th in the Eastern League.

In the bottom of the 12th, Jim Delahanty had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring single to center off Pittsburgh pitcher Matt Gilley.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Delahanty told reporters after the game.
