Pittsburgh Pirates starter Matt Gilley found his groove in his team's 5-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles. The third-place Pirates now sit at 56-48.

Gene DeMontreville dealt the Orioles a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Pittsburgh leading 2-1, DeMontreville, who is a four-time All-Star, hit a 0-1 curveball for a 2-run single.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Gilley.
