Cork turned a good effort from starting pitcher Antonio Triana into a win over the Dublin Vikings at Salmon Stadium. The final score was 2-1 in 10 innings. Reliever René Escamilla picked up the win. His record improves to 6-2. Ruairí Hall took the loss. The setback makes Dublin 47-75.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Cork. That's when 25-year old right fielder Álvaro Aquilar hit a solo home run off Ruairí Hall to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Dublin manager Leo Amos.
