Red-Hot Portillo Cools Off Swansea
The Swansea Copper Lords struggled at the plate against Druids hurler Danilo Portillo, who shackled them on 4 hits while hurling a complete-game 1-0 shutout.

"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Copper Lords skipper William Munro in postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."

Portillo finished the game with 8 strikeouts and no walks in an excellent mound performance.

"He pitched real well," Wrexham manager John Henderson said. "Danilo made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."

So far this season, Portillo has a record of 16-14 with 162 strikeouts and 75 walks in 246.1 innings and a 3.03 ERA.
