Arcadians Rough Up Druids, Take 17-3 Win
|
The Cardiff Arcadians trumped the Wrexham Druids, 17-3, at Ballpark of Cardiff. Cardiff right fielder Lewis Fenton was terrific. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 7. Luis Melchor was the winner. He's now 17-12. The loser was Juan Ortiz. The third-place Druids now sit at 67-61.
An important at-bat for Cardiff came with one out in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, Fenton drew a walk, driving in 1 run, which contributed to the Arcadians win.
"This is not a one-man show," said Fenton. "A lot of the guys stepped up."
