Coro Absorbs 4-0 Loss to Valencia

Campo de Valencia was the site for Liga Oeste action featuring the Coro Bizantinos and Valencia Industriales.
The Valencia Industriales racked up a win at Campo de Valencia, bumping off the Coro Bizantinos, 4-0. Denis Masson, who started for Valencia, pitched effectively for his team. The winner was Masson. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Fernando Mascorro. Samuel Gámez picked up the save for Valencia, his 5th of the year.
Álvaro Pérez's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with a runner on 2nd and the game tied, 0-0. The Valencia shortstop hit a run-scoring single off Fernando Mascorro to put the Industriales up.
"Winning never gets dull," said Pérez.
Valencia is now 10-18, Coro 16-12.
