Edinburgh beat Aberdeen on the strength of starting pitcher Nicolás Sánchez's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 9-3. With the victory, the Claymores upped their record to 67-65.

The Claymores got a big hit from pinch hitter Adam Taylor. In the bottom of the sixth, Taylor smacked a 2-run double off Aberdeen pitcher Alfonso Casanova. It was his 6th double of the season. Suddenly, the Claymores were ahead, 4-3.

"I'm happy we won," said Sánchez. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
