Cardiff got a decent performance from pitcher Sloan Mahoney, but it wasn't enough to beat the Wrexham Druids. Wrexham won the Ballpark of Cardiff contest, 4-3. Mahoney threw 11.2 innings of 8-hit ball for the losing team. The win gives Wrexham a season record of 69-63.

Wrexham needed the clutch hitting of Guillermo Pegueros to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Druids on top, 4-3. For the game, Pegueros had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We put together a nice win," Pegueros said.
