The Nueva Esparta Cunaguaros outlasted Marco Dueñas and the Puerto La Cruz Timoneles, 8-7, in 10 innings. Dueñas was impressive in the loss. The Puerto La Cruz center fielder was 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The first-place Timoneles dropped to 20-11.
