Charlie Dewald pitched a gem to lead Meadville to victory over the Mentor Rose Stockings, 3-0. In 8 innings, Dewald surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed no runs.
Alfredo Pérez had a critical at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for Meadville. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Meadville in front, 2-0.
