Partridges Earn 3-2 Win Versus Sugar Beets
The Alpena Partridges beat the Bay City Sugar Beets, 3-2. Alpena pitcher and Allegheny Township, Pennsylvania, native Emmett Bowman led the way. Alpena is now 52-60.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 2-2, 25-year old left fielder Dustin Randolph won it for Alpena. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Randolph hit a 1-1 fastball from Alan Baxter for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 3-2 win.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Randolph told a Alpena Chronicle reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
