Meadville starter Charlie Dewald pitched well against the Norwalk Maples at Syrup Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-4. At 51-68, the Zips are currently last in the Eastern Great Lakes Association League of Lake Erie.

Crispín Frausto helped out the Meadville cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 3 with 2 singles.

"I was able to get good plays made behind me," Dewald said. "And I was able to make pitches when I needed to make pitches."
