The Stoplights grabbed a win, 4-3, at The Traffic Jam, overcoming a fine effort from Saginaw pitcher Joël Coutant. Coutant went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs. With the win, the Stoplights improved to 60-65.

Propercio Ordóñez dealt the Joes a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Bad Axe leading 3-1, Ordóñez, who is tied for 3rd in the WGLA in triples with 10, hit a 0-1 changeup for a run-scoring single.

Ordóñez told reporters after the game: "Close wins always feel extra good."
