Candysweet Park was the site for Western Great Lakes Association action featuring the Bay City Sugar Beets and Bad Axe Stoplights.

The Bad Axe Stoplights picked up a win at Candysweet Park, topping the Bay City Sugar Beets, 6-3. On the mound for Bad Axe was right-hander Inocencio Pérez. He played a principal role in the triumph. Pérez, who is tied for 6th in the WGLA in complete games with 23, went the distance for Bad Axe. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits.

Tyler Regan was vital to the Bad Axe win. He went 1-4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the third with two out, Regan hit a 2-run single. It made the score 3-0, in favor of the Stoplights.

Bad Axe manager Tomás Díaz commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
