Commodores Suffer One-Run Loss at Norwalk
The Norwalk Maples and Erie Commodores played an exciting game.

The Norwalk Maples locked up a win at Syrup Park, knocking off the Erie Commodores, 4-3. On the mound for Norwalk was left-hander Julián Rey. He played a major role in the triumph. Rey yielded 3 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 9. His record improves to 16-17.

The Maples got a big at-bat from right fielder Hestio Espitia. For the game, Espitia was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave Norwalk a 3-2 lead.
