Meadville starter Marcelino Jaques turned in a competent performance at XYZ Stadium as the Zips beat the Norwalk Maples, 10-9. Ajani Adams, now 5-5, was credited with the win in 0.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0.

Jimmy Steveson was the walk-off hero for Meadville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Zips pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Wild game," said Jaques after it ended.

The last-place Zips go to 48-79.
