Win Goes to Hydropathists in Tight Contest
The Oswego Hydropathists defeated the Syracuse Halites, 7-5, at Water Cure Park. Oswego was led by 31-year old second baseman Vicente Martínez, who was 1-1 with a triple and 3 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. At 75-53, the Hydropathists are currently second in the Eastern Great Lakes Association League of Lake Ontario.

Oswego took a 6-5 lead on Martínez's 6th triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which he hit off Pablo Martín in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Oswego to the win.

In comments to the Oswego News, Martínez insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
