The Syracuse Halites picked up a win at Cookie Cutter Park, knocking off the Utica Half Moons, 4-2. On the mound for Syracuse was right-hander Nepomuceno Muñoz. He played a key role in the triumph. Muñoz, now 13-14, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 12 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. The win makes Syracuse 67-63.

Isaías Fuentes, who is tied for 8th in the EGLA in stolen bases with 34, had a direct impact on the outcome. Fuentes contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Syracuse up, 3-1.
