Holland Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Tulips beat the Blast Furnaces.

The Holland Tulips weathered an outstanding game by Gary right fielder Shane Charette to topple the Blast Furnaces, 7-6. Charette was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Reliever Stephen Wilson picked up the win. His record improves to 4-4. Jesse Wilson, who is tied for 10th in the WGLA in innings pitched with 280.0, took the loss.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Holland pinch hitter Dale Oloff, facing Felipe González, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Tulips the 7-6 win.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Oloff said.

With this game in the books, Holland is 59-72, Gary 68-63.
