A 3-RBI performance from center fielder Ramiro Martínez, who is tied for 9th in the WGLA in runs scored with 95, led the Sault St. Marie Rapids to a win over the Grand Marais Voyageurs, 10-2. Nicolás Rodríguez got the win, improving to 10-21. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 1 run, while striking out 5 and walking 1. Fernando Ramírez, credited with the save, is now 5 for 7 in save opportunities.

Santiago Leyva had a big run-scoring double for the Rapids in the top of the second inning. With Sault St. Marie leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Néstor Contreras and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rapids ahead, 3-1.

"They took it to us," said Grand Marais manager Sean Webster.

The Rapids improved their record to 55-77 with the win over Grand Marais.
