Irondequoit Peach Kings starter Brock Whitford turned in a workmanlike performance against the Rochester Lilac Stockings at Perennial Blooming Park. Enrique Morán recorded the save, making him 5 for 9.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jon Schaffer? The Irondequoit second baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Peach Kings on top, 1-0. For the game, Schaffer had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
