The Jayuya Picachos locked up a win at Parquecito de Adjuntas, knocking off the Adjuntas Beatos, 5-3. On the mound for Jayuya was left-hander Goliat Martín. He played a major role in the triumph. Jayuya is now 27-32, while Adjuntas is 25-34.

Jayuya used a well-timed hit by Riley Magee to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Picachos ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"I still have a lot of confidence in this team," Jayuya manager Alberto Rivera said afterward.
