Parquecito de Guayama was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Salinas Olimpicos and Guayama Aprendices.

The Salinas Olimpicos locked up a win at Parquecito de Guayama, knocking off the Guayama Aprendices, 4-3. On the mound for Salinas was left-hander Marco Pomares. He played a major role in the triumph. The win puts the Olimpicos at 25-34, while the Aprendices drop to 30-27.

Had it not been for Héctor Garza, the results might have been different. In the top of the eighth inning, when the Olimpicos were trailing 3-2, Garza hit a 2-run single for Salinas, giving his team the lead.

"I know we have our doubters," said Guayama manager Anselmo Martínez. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
