Parquecito de Ponce was the site for Liga Mariana Bracetti action featuring the Cabo Rojo Maravillosos and Ponce Hidalgos.

Ponce beat Cabo Rojo on the strength of starting pitcher Joel Wainwright's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Wainwright got the win, improving to 6-7. He gave up 10 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. He allowed 3 runs.

Nate Scammon had a big run-scoring triple for the Hidalgos in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Ponce leading 3-1 and a runner on 3rd, he got a sinker from Mick Kavanagh, who is tied for 10th in the LMB with a 1.10 WHIP, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hidalgos ahead, 4-1.
