Guayanilla Rallies for 8-4 Victory
The Penuelas Idiofonos and Guayanilla Tormentas delighted fans at Parquecito de Guayanilla.

Romualdo Hernández powered the Guayanilla Tormentas to a win over the Penuelas Idiofonos. The final score was 8-4. The Guayanilla third baseman, who is tied for 2nd in the LMB with a .761 slugging percentage, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Wilfredo Arias was the winning pitcher. Over 9 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 11 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.

A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the eighth inning when the Tormentas sent 22-year-old center fielder Calixto Mangual to the plate with a runner on 3rd. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a run-scoring single, to put Guayanilla on top, 5-4.

"The clubhouse can get insufferable after we lose, so I'm glad we pulled this one out today," Mangual told the Guayanilla Chronicle.

The loss makes Penuelas 26-33.
