The rain did not keep Jayuya and Morovis from finishing their game.
The Jayuya Picachos downed the Morovis Excepciones, 4-0, at Parquecito de Jayuya. Stellar pitching by Bogdan de Jong had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is rated as the 96th best prospect by BNN, handcuffed his opponent all game. Jayuya's record now stands at 28-33, placing them 9th in the Liga José Padilla División Eugenio Ortiz.
de Jong's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 8 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing 7 hits. de Jong, who is rated as the 96th best prospect by BNN, goes to 2-3 on the year with 33 strikeouts.
