The Utuado Serranos locked up a win at Parquecito de Utuado, knocking off the Caguas Ruidosos, 5-3. On the mound for Utuado was right-hander Vidal Escalante. He played a major role in the triumph. At 30-31, Utuado is in 7th place in the Liga José Padilla División Eugenio Ortiz.

González went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once against the Ruidosos. In the bottom of the first inning, he hit a 2-run single that put Utuado in front, 2-0.

"Coming in, from the get-go, I knew my stuff was good," said Escalante.
