Ciales Guapetones fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Vicente Hernández blanked the Barranquitas Insignes, 3-0, at Parquecito de Barranquitas. Hernández stopped them on 8 hits while walking 5 and striking out 7.

"Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Guapetones skipper Martín Reyes said. "He was on top of his game in this one."

This season, Hernández has fanned 91 in 115.1 innings and collected a 6-8 record with a 3.90 ERA.
